Simulation Builder - Forward Simulation: Single#

1. Forward Simulation: Single#

The Forward Simulation: Single simulates future production based on historical data and user-defined parameters. It uses SynMax’s production history and decline models to forecast expected oil and gas output for a single scenario. This mode is best suited for generating one deterministic forecast for a specific region or operator.

Steps to run#

  1. Open Simulation Builder and select Forward Simulation: Single.

  2. Enter the fields shown on screen (see the “Input fields” table below).

  3. After you type a value for Monthly Completions, click the “+” icon (highlighted in red) to add it to the input field. The value appears as a small chip directly beneath the field.

  4. Click Simulate.

Enter Input Value fields for Forward Simulation:Single
  1. A Please wait screen appears while the model queries history, prepares parameters, and connects to the Production Studio API.

Please wait modal while the simulation runs
  2. When the run finishes, you will see a message as Simulation completed successfully.

    Simulation completed successfully modal
  1. The builder automatically generates an Excel worksheet with all inputs and results.
